Ingredients
- 4 pears
- 400 ml dry red wine (or alcohol‑free red wine)
- 3 tbsp Marsala (or pear syrup)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 0.5 cinnamon stick
- 0.5 lemon
- 2 star anise
- 80 g blackberries
Instructions

Heat red wine, Marsala, sugar, cinnamon, star anise and lemon in a tall pot.

Peel pears, leave the stem base, place them in the pot and simmer covered for about 10‑15 minutes until they soften but do not fall apart, occasionally spooning wine over them. Add washed blackberries in the last 1‑2 minutes.

Arrange pears with blackberries and some sauce on plates and serve.
