Raspberry Vanilla Smoothie with Poppy Seeds

A protein-packed raspberry vanilla smoothie from Spoonsparrow featuring a creamy blend of low-fat quark and fresh raspberries, finished with a bright poppy seed flavor and garnished with lemon balm.

Ingredients

  • 1 Vanilla bean
  • 150 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • 1 tbsp Raw cane sugar
  • 2 Tbsp ground poppy seeds
  • 300 g low‑fat quark
  • 300 g raspberries
  • lemon balm for garnish

Instructions

    Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. In a saucepan, bring the milk, vanilla seeds, vanilla pod, sugar, and ground poppy seeds to a boil. Let cool, then stir in the quark.

    Puree the raspberries with 4 Tbsp water until smooth; strain through a fine sieve if desired. Divide the quark mixture among four glasses, top each with raspberry puree, stir lightly with a spoon, garnish with lemon balm, and serve immediately.
