Quick Yeast Rolls

With the quick yeast rolls from Spoonsparrow, you can create a delicious breakfast on the table in no time!

Ingredients

  • 510 g spelt flour type 1050
  • 0.5 cube yeast (21 g)
  • 250 ml lukewarm milk
  • 1 tsp Honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

    Sift 500 g flour into a bowl. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm milk and stir with the honey. Separate the egg. Mix the yeast milk with the flour, egg white, and salt. Knead on a floured work surface for about 10 minutes. Divide the dough into 12 pieces, shape them into elongated rolls, and let rest covered on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 30 minutes.

    Score the rolls about 5 mm deep lengthwise. Beat the yolk with 1–2 tsp water and brush the raw dough pieces with it. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (convection: 180 °C; gas: level 3) for about 15–20 minutes until golden yellow.
