The Quark Balls from Spoonsparrow are fluffy, juicy, and perfect for a quick snack!
Ingredients
- 35 g whole cane sugar
- 250 g spelt flour Type 1050
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla powder
- 250 g low-fat quark
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp Rapeseed oil
Instructions

Grind 20 g whole cane sugar in a blender or grinder until very fine and set aside as powdered sugar.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, vanilla powder, and remaining whole cane sugar in a bowl. Add the quark, eggs, and oil; mix with dough hooks into a smooth, slightly sticky dough and let rest for 5 minutes.

Shape walnut-sized balls from the dough using lightly floured hands and place them spaced apart in the air fryer basket.

Bake in a preheated air fryer at 180 °C for 8–10 minutes until golden brown, turning once halfway through.

Let the quark balls cool briefly and dust warm with powdered whole cane sugar.
