The Mini Peanut Bites by Maya Leinenbach are ready in no time and a healthier alternative to chocolate bars. Spoonsparrow offers the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 190 g dates (pitted)
  • 3 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 75 g oat flour
  • 50 g dark chocolate

Instructions

  1. 1.

Place dates in a bowl and pour hot water over them. Let soak for 10 minutes, then drain the water.

  2. 2.

For the date caramel, blend dates, peanut butter and 40–50 ml water in a high‑speed blender until thick.

  3. 3.

For the bottom layer mix oat flour, 80 g of date caramel and, depending on desired consistency, 2–3 Tbsp water. Spread this mixture in a small baking pan lined with parchment paper.

  4. 4.

Spread the remaining date caramel over it. Melt chocolate in a double boiler and drizzle it over the caramel. Chill for a few minutes until the chocolate sets. Remove from the fridge and cut into mini peanut bites.
