Prune semolina porridge: The prune compote stimulates digestion and brings vitamins and potassium into play – besides its fruity taste.

Ingredients

  • 50 g prunes (1 prune; or 15 g dried prunes)
  • 200 ml Milk (3.5% fat)
  • 30 g whole grain semolina (3 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. 1.

Wash the prune, halve it, pit it and dice it into small cubes.

  2. 2.

Place the diced prune with 2–3 tbsp of water in a small pot and cook into compote for 4–5 minutes. (Chop dried prunes and steam them with 50 ml water to make a purée.) Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3.

Heat the milk in another small pot. Whisk in the semolina, bring to a boil once, then simmer on low heat while stirring for about 3 minutes until it thickens.

  4. 4.

Remove the semolina porridge from heat, place it on a plate and top with the prune purée. Let it cool slightly before serving.
