Belly‑loving! This sauerkraut fig salad from Spoonsparrow tastes not only deliciously tart and fruity but also feels good for the stomach.
Ingredients
- 800 g Eden Fresh Food L(+) Sauerkraut (available at health food stores)
- 200 g unsulfured dried fig (from health food store)
- 4 pieces fresh fig
- 500 g pineapple flesh
- 50 g lightly blanched almonds (available at health food store)
- 250 g yogurt (3.5% fat)
- 1 tsp Manuka honey (available at health food store)
- 0.5 tsp Brecht Ceylon cinnamon (available at health food store)
- 1 pinch Brecht cloves powder (available at health food store)
Instructions

Loosen the sauerkraut with a fork and place it in a bowl.

Cut the dried figs into large cubes. Wash, peel, and quarter the fresh figs. Dice the pineapple flesh, removing the core. Roughly chop the almonds.

Mix the pineapple, dried figs, and almonds with the sauerkraut.

Whisk yogurt, honey, and spices together; pour over the salad. Distribute onto bowls, garnish with fresh fig pieces, and serve.
