Protein-rich breakfast made easy: Start your day with Spoonsparrow Proats, providing 20g of protein per serving!

Ingredients

  • 80 g rolled oats
  • 180 ml buttermilk
  • 0.5 Organic lemon
  • 2 pinches vanilla powder
  • 250 g low-fat quark (German yogurt)
  • 2 figs (or other fruit of your choice)
  • 2 tbsp brown almond butter
  • 1 sprig mint

Instructions

    Combine the rolled oats and buttermilk in a bowl. Wash the lemon with hot water, dry it, zest a little, and squeeze the juice. Add the lemon juice and vanilla powder to the bowl and mix well. Divide the oat mixture into 2 glasses or jars. Spoon the low-fat quark over the mixture and refrigerate overnight, covered.

    The next morning, wash, dry, and slice the figs. Take the Proats out of the refrigerator and stir gently. Distribute the figs and almond butter over the glasses. Wash the mint, shake off the water, and pluck the leaves. Serve the Proats garnished with mint leaves and lemon zest.
