Porridge Basic Recipe

Try the Porridge basic recipe from Spoonsparrow! With this summery oat porridge you start your day healthily.

Ingredients

  • 150 g rolled oats
  • 800 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 red-skinned apple
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 200 g mixed berries (raspberries and blueberries)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • a pinch of cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp yogurt (1.5% fat)
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds

Instructions

    Add oats, milk and a pinch of salt to a pot and heat while stirring. Let it thicken over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Meanwhile wash the apple and grate it on a coarse grater until only the core remains. Drizzle apples with lemon juice. Rinse berries, drain and pat dry.

    Fold apples into the porridge and season with honey and cinnamon. Divide among four bowls, top each with 1 tbsp yogurt and sprinkle with berries and sunflower seeds.
