The basic polenta recipe with Parmesan cheese and a hint of garlic tastes not only good for children – a tasty dish for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 300 ml milk (1.5% fat)
  • Salt
  • 100 g cornmeal
  • 40 g Parmesan (30% fat in solids)
  • Pepper

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the garlic clove. Bring milk and 300 ml lightly salted water to a boil in a pot.

    Add the cornmeal to the boiling liquid while stirring constantly.

    Reduce heat and let the polenta simmer on low for 40 minutes, stirring frequently.

    Meanwhile grate the Parmesan and stir it into the polenta. Season richly with salt and pepper and serve.
