The Apple Brûlée Jam from Spoonsparrow makes every breakfast something special!

Ingredients

  • 1 kg tart apples
  • 2 lemons (juiced)
  • 1 kg gelatin sugar
  • 1 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

    Peel the apples, quarter them, remove cores and dice the flesh. Mix in lemon juice and sugar. Let sit overnight to draw out juice.

    Add the cinnamon stick to the apples and bring to a boil. Simmer while stirring occasionally for about 4 minutes, stir in gingerbread spice, perform a gelatin test, remove the cinnamon stick. Fill prepared jars and seal. Turn upside down and let cool.
