Ingredients
- 4 large ripe pears
- 4 tbsp sugar
- 0.125 l white wine
- 100 g dark chocolate
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 star anise
- 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

Wash, peel, halve the pears and remove the core. Dissolve the sugar in a little water and simmer for 5 minutes over low heat. Add the wine and pears, cover and steam for 15 minutes until the pears are tender; carefully lift them out, let cool slightly, and arrange on plates.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler, stir in half a teaspoon of cinnamon, and drizzle over the poached pears. Place one scoop of vanilla ice cream beside each pear, dust with the remaining cinnamon, and garnish with a star anise.
