Plum Layered Dessert

Crispy wafer layered dessert with quark-yogurt-sour cream: Attention to plum lovers—here’s the perfect nightcap for you!

Ingredients

  • 300 g plums (150 g yellow and 150 g red)
  • 100 ml apple juice
  • 4 tbsp liquid honey
  • 0.5 small cinnamon stick
  • 250 g low-fat quark
  • 150 g yogurt (0.1% fat)
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • 6 whole grain digestive biscuits

Instructions

    Wash the plums, halve them, pit and cut into strips.

    Bring the apple juice and 2 tbsp honey with the cinnamon stick to a boil in a pot and reduce slightly.

    Add the plums and simmer for 2-3 minutes over low heat.

  4. 4.

    Drain the plums in a sieve, catching the liquid in a bowl.

  5. 5.

    Beat the quark, yogurt and remaining honey with a hand mixer until creamy.

  6. 6.

    Whip the cream stiffly in a tall container and fold it into the quark-yogurt mixture.

    Break the biscuits into small pieces and soak them in the collected plum juice.

    Layer alternately with plums and the quark-yogurt-cream in a small baking dish or four glasses, refrigerate for at least 25‑30 minutes to set.
