Ingredients

  • 4 pieces ready-to-cook plaice
  • 0.5 lemons (juice only)
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • flour (for dredging)
  • 8 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 shallots
  • 1 Zucchini
  • 1 bunch dill
  • 150 g North Sea shrimp meat

Instructions

  1. 1.

Rinse the plaice and pat dry. Drizzle with lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, tapping off excess.

  2. 2.

Heat oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large non-stick pan. Sear the plaice on both sides briefly. Transfer to a foil-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (gas: level 2-3, fan: 160°C) for about 15 minutes.

  3. 3.

Peel and dice the shallots. Wash, peel, and finely dice the zucchini. Rinse the dill, shake dry, and chop finely. Heat remaining butter. Sauté the zucchini for 3-4 minutes. Add the shrimp and warm through. Season with salt and pepper and fold in the dill.

  4. 4.

Plate the plaice on dishes and spoon the shrimp‑zucchini mixture over it.
