Marinerite Neck Steaks from the Grill

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp sharp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • Tabasco
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 125 ml beer
  • Pepper
  • 4 pork neck steaks (about 180 g each)
  • Salt

Instructions

    Peel and roughly chop the garlic. Blend with mustard, lemon juice, lemon zest, Tabasco, thyme, beer, and a pinch of pepper.

    Cover the steaks in this mixture and marinate for at least 5 hours or preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

    Remove the steaks from the marinade, drain well, and grill over high heat for 3-4 minutes per side.

    Season the steaks and serve with toasted baguette slices and herb butter if desired.
