Ingredients

  • 2 kg strawberries
  • 1 kg powdered sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon

Instructions

    Wash, clean, trim, and gently pat dry the strawberries. Layer them in hot-washed jars, sprinkling each layer with some powdered sugar. Finally add a teaspoon of lemon juice to each jar.

    Seal the jars (with twist-off lids) and place them in a wide pot. Fill 2/3 of the pot with water, bring slowly to a boil, then turn off the heat and let the jars sit covered for about 20 minutes in the hot water.
