Ingredients

  • 3 kg pears
  • 2 lemons (juice)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 300 g sugar

Instructions

    Peel, halve, cut the pears into wedges and remove cores. Drizzle pieces with lemon juice and layer in pre-boiled canning jars. Add cinnamon sticks and cloves. Boil about 1 l water with sugar and simmer for 2-3 minutes until bubbling. Completely cover pears with syrup. Seal jars and cook in a large pot for 20 minutes.
