Pickled Apples in Wine Broth

Ingredients
- 1 bottle semi-dry white wine
- 175 ml Campari
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 100 g sugar
- 4 tbsp Lemon juice
- 0.5 tsp ginger powder
- 4 cloves
- 1.5 kg small firm apples
- 0.5 packet canning helper

Combine wine with 700 ml water, Campari, quartered cinnamon stick, sugar, lemon juice and spices; bring to a boil. Peel the apples and immediately place them in the wine broth, simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes. Remove apples from the broth and distribute them into glasses, placing one piece of cinnamon stick and one clove with each apple.

Bring the wine broth back to a boil, stir in the canning helper according to package instructions, then pour hot over the apples. Seal the glasses immediately.
