Ingredients

  • 1 kg cherries
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 400 ml red wine

Instructions

    Wash and pit the cherries. Peel the lemon zest and combine with sugar, cinnamon stick, and red wine; bring to a boil.

    Add the cherries, simmer for about 5 minutes. Transfer to two prepared jars, seal tightly, and let cool. Store preserved cherries in a dark, cool place.
