Pear Porridge

The Pear Porridge by Spoonsparrow is the perfect start to the day on cool mornings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pear
  • 100 ml apple juice
  • 35 g rolled oats
  • 300 ml milk
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 tsp roasted hazelnut flakes
  • 2 tsp flaxseed
  • lemon balm leaf (for garnish)

Instructions

    Wash the pear, quarter it, peel it, remove the core and cut into slices. Heat the apple juice in a pot and steam the pear slices for about 3 minutes, then set aside.

    Add rolled oats, milk, salt, and cinnamon to the apple juice, bring to a boil, remove from heat, and let stand for about 5 minutes to thicken. Divide the porridge into two bowls, top with the pears, and sprinkle with hazelnut flakes and flaxseed. Serve garnished with lemon balm leaves.
