Pear Chocolate Cake with Nuts

- 2 cans pears (425 ml each)
- 100 g walnut kernels
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 6 Eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 100 g crème fraîche
- 200 g Flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp Baking powder

Grease and dust the baking pan. Drain the pears, let them dry, then cut into wedges.

Toast the walnuts in a dry skillet until fragrant. Remove, roughly chop, and cool. Chop the chocolate and melt with butter in a small pot over low heat; allow to cool slightly.

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) fan or conventional heat.

Whisk eggs with sugar and salt for about 5 minutes until creamy. Stir in crème fraîche. Pour in the chocolate‑butter mixture and mix well. Combine flour, cinnamon, and baking powder, then fold into the wet ingredients quickly. Fold in walnuts. Spread pears on the pan and pour batter over them.
