Ingredients

  • 4 bananas
  • 2 tsp lime juice
  • 1 pineapple
  • 150 g sugar
  • 125 ml white rum
  • 1 tsp untreated grated orange zest
  • 2 tbsp rum (for flambé)
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream

Instructions

    Peel the bananas, cut them in half and slice into strips. Drizzle with lime juice. Trim the stem and core of the pineapple and peel it thickly with a knife. Then cut into rings or pieces.

    Reduce the sugar with 125 ml water to make a syrup, stir in rum and orange zest, pour over the fruit and let chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

    Arrange the fruit on plates, drizzle with remaining rum and ignite. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
