Ingredients

  • 5 small pears
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 500 ml semi-dry white wine
  • 150 g sugar
  • 80 ml Grand Marnier

Instructions

    Wash one pear, halve it, remove the core and cut into wedges. Peel the remaining pears, leave the stem, cut flat at the bottom and immediately drizzle with lemon juice.

    Simmer the wine and sugar in a suitable pot for several minutes, add the pears and wedges to the liquid and poach for 5 to 8 minutes depending on ripeness, then let cool in the syrup.
