Pasta with tomatoes is a recipe featuring fresh ingredients from the fruit-vegetable category.

Ingredients

  • 400 g Fettuccine
  • 400 g Tomatoes
  • 0.5 Bund Basilikum
  • 5 EL olive oil
  • Salz
  • Pfeffer (aus der Mühle)

Instructions

    Wash the tomatoes, halve them, remove seeds and cut into small pieces. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper.

    Cook the fettuccine in boiling salted water with 2 tbsp olive oil until al dente, drain and set aside one cup of the cooking water used for the pasta.

    In a bowl combine the hot noodles with the tomatoes, remaining olive oil, reserved cooking water, and basil. Season well with pepper and serve immediately.
