  • 400 g fine loaf of white bread (1 fine loaf)
  • 400 g cream cheese
  • 1 untreated lime
  • 1 tbsp lime zest
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream (at least 30% fat)
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 cucumber

Instructions

    Slice the white bread and use a heart-shaped cutter (about 4 cm diameter) to cut approximately 40 hearts from the loaf. Mix the cream cheese with lime juice, zest, heavy cream, and herbs; season with salt and pepper, then spread this mixture onto the bread hearts.

    Wash, dry, and slice the cucumber into very thin rounds. Arrange the cucumber slices fan‑shaped into a rectangle and press them together firmly. Use the cutter to cut heart shapes from the cucumber layer and place these on top of the cheese‑topped bread hearts. Secure with toothpicks and serve immediately.
