Parmesan Rolls with Parma Ham

- 200 g cream cheese (pure)
- 2 Tbsp whipping cream
- 2 tbsp freshly chopped herbs (as desired)
- Salt
- pepper (from grinder)
- Lemon juice
- 16 slices Parma ham
- 200 g freshly grated Parmesan

Whisk the cream cheese with the whipping cream and herbs, season with salt and pepper, then add a splash of lemon juice. Fill a small-tip pastry bag with the mixture and pipe strips onto the ham slices; roll into rolls.

Preheat the oven to 200 °C fan-forced. Place a large round cookie cutter (≈10 cm diameter) on parchment paper and spread a thin, even layer of Parmesan inside. Remove the ring and repeat with more cheese portions on the tray. Bake for about 5 minutes until the cheese melts, bubbles vigorously, and turns lightly golden brown. Immediately remove the tray, let the cheese cookies cool briefly, then unwrap the parchment to wrap the ham rolls and set them on a cooling rack to become crisp yet firm.
