Ingredients

  • 1 Shallot
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp tomato paste
  • 100 ml Vegetable broth
  • Salt
  • black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

    Peel and finely chop the shallot and garlic. Wash the chili, deseed if desired, and finely chop it as well. Wash the peppers, halve them, remove seeds and white membranes, peel, and dice into small cubes. Blanch the tomatoes, cool, peel, quarter, seed, and dice similarly.

    Heat the oil in a pot and sauté the shallot with garlic until translucent. Add the chili and peppers, cook briefly, stir in tomato paste and diced tomatoes, pour in broth, season with salt and pepper, and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Taste, let cool slightly, then serve arranged in small bowls.
