Ingredients
- 1 old ciabatta loaf (ca. 400 g)
- 5 tbsp olive oil
- 400 g cherry tomatoes
- 1 Red Onion
- 1 Garlic clove
- 2 tbsp white balsamic vinegar
- 1 tbsp capers
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 pinch sugar
- Sea salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- a handful basil
Instructions

Cut the ciabatta into bite‑sized cubes and fry in 2–3 tbsp olive oil until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.

Wash, clean, and quarter the tomatoes. Peel the onion and garlic; dice the onion and finely mince the garlic.

Whisk the remaining oil with balsamic vinegar, capers, lemon juice, and sugar, then season with salt and pepper.

Rinse the basil, shake dry, and tear the leaves. Combine all prepared ingredients with the dressing and serve in bowls.
