Ingredients
- 0.5 loaf of Italian white bread (Ciabatta)
- 200 ml olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 tbsp red wine vinegar
- 500 g tomatoes
- 1 Red Onion
- 0.5 bunch basil (roughly chopped leaves)
- Salt
- ground pepper

Quarter the tomatoes, remove seeds, and cut into wedges.

Tear the bread into large pieces.

Peel the onion, halve it lengthwise, then slice into strips.

Whisk together oil, vinegar, pressed garlic, salt, and pepper; pour over the bread, add onion and tomatoes, mix well, let rest for about 2 hours, taste, and serve at room temperature topped with basil.
