Pan‑fried potatoes with cabbage from Spoonsparrow is always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 500 g white cabbage
  • Salt
  • 2 onions
  • 600 g waxy potatoes
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp freshly chopped parsley

Instructions

    Wash, trim and cut the cabbage into strips. Blanch in boiling salted water for 4–5 minutes, drain, rinse with cold water and let dry.

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel, wash and slice the potatoes thinly or into rounds. Heat oil in a pan, fry the potatoes, turning occasionally, until golden brown about 10 minutes. Add onions and cabbage strips, sauté for another 3–4 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and cumin, then sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
