Ingredients

  • 2 kg organic oranges (yields about 1.2 L juice)
  • 1 cm ginger
  • 500 g preserve sugar (3:1)

Instructions

    Wash the oranges, thinly peel the skins of 3-4 oranges and cut them into fine strips, then divide into pieces 1-2 cm long. Halve the oranges and squeeze out the juice. Mix the orange juice with the zest and measure 1250 ml.

    Peel and finely grate the ginger, add it. Combine everything with the sugar and stir constantly until boiling. Let it bubble vigorously for 4 minutes, then fill prepared jars to the brim, seal well and let cool.
