Orange Granita

Ingredients

  • 80 g sugar
  • 6 untreated oranges
  • 100 g physalis

Instructions

    Boil the sugar with 120 ml water, simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.

    Wash two oranges hot, pat dry, and grate the peel. Juice all fruits. Wash the physalis and finely puree them. Strain through a sieve and mix with the orange juice into the cooled sugar syrup.

    Pour the mixture into a metal container and freeze for about 4 hours. During the first 3 hours stir vigorously every half hour with a fork.

    Before serving, stir again and serve the granita in glasses.
