- 5 egg yolks (medium size)
- 150 g powdered sugar
- 1 pinch iodized salt
- 225 g softened butter
- 75 g chopped almonds
- 150 g wheat flour (with germ)
- 3 tsp baking powder
- 180 g fine rolled oats
- oil for greasing the pan
- 3 large oranges
- 2 tbsp orange, apricot or lemon jam
- 3 tbsp rolled oats
- each 1 tbsp butter and sugar
Instructions
-
1.
Separate eggs. Beat yolks, powdered sugar, iodized salt, and butter with a hand mixer until fluffy. Stir in almonds, flour, baking powder, and oats. Spread dough onto a greased baking sheet and smooth.

2.
Peel oranges with a sharp knife, removing the white pith. Halve the oranges and slice, catching the juice. Top dough with orange slices and bake at 175 °C fan or 150 °C gas stage 2 for about 35 minutes.

Stir captured orange juice with jam and spread over still warm cake. Roast oats, butter, and sugar in a pan until golden yellow while stirring, then sprinkle over cake. Serve with whipped cream.
