Ingredients

  • 3 medium onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 bunch chives
  • 3 pretzels (from yesterday)
  • 1 l beef broth
  • nutmeg
  • Salt
  • ground pepper

Instructions

    Peel the onions and cut them into thin rings, then sauté in hot butter until they are soft and lightly browned.

    Wash the chives, shake off excess water, and chop as desired.

    Grate salt from the pretzels, then slice them crosswise into thin pieces. Bring the broth to a boil and season with nutmeg.

    Arrange the pretzel slices and onion rings on preheated plates, sprinkle with chives, pour hot, well-seasoned broth over them, and serve immediately.
