Omas Biersuppe von Spoonsparrow ist ein klassisches Rezept, das immer wieder gut ankommt.
Ingredients
- 40 g white bread
- 30 g Butter
- 4 egg yolks
- 100 g sugar
- 200 ml whipping cream
- 1 bottle Kölsch beer
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 lemon peel

Cut the crust of the white bread into cubes. Roast the bread cubes in a pan with butter until golden yellow.

Beat the egg yolks with sugar until frothy. Add the cream and heat it while stirring constantly. Warning: The mixture must never boil!

Meanwhile, warm the beer with cinnamon and lemon peel. After about 10 minutes, remove the spices and carefully pour the hot spiced beer into the hot cream while stirring. Remove the pot from the stove immediately. Serve the soup in deep bowls and garnish with bread cubes.
