- 500 g okra
- 1 lemon (juice)
- 3 onions
- 3 tbsp oil
- Salt
- pepper (ground)
- 50 ml Vegetable broth

Wash and trim the okra, cut it crosswise into bite‑size pieces, and place in a bowl with water and lemon juice.

Peel the onions, slice them into rings, and fry them in hot oil until they become deep brown. Add the drained okra, season with salt and pepper, pour in the broth, and simmer gently for about 7 minutes. Taste and adjust seasoning, then serve over flatbread if desired.
