Ingredients

  • 40 g soft butter
  • 4 tbsp heavy cream (or condensed milk)
  • 1 onion
  • 200 g mature camembert
  • 1 tsp Paprika powder (sweet)
  • Salt
  • Pepper (freshly ground)
  • a pinch of whole caraway seeds
  • 0.5 handful chopped chives

    Prepare all ingredients so they reach room temperature. Beat the soft butter with 1-2 tbsp cream in a bowl using an electric mixer.

    Peel the onion and cut it into rings.

    Tear the Camembert into large pieces and place them in another bowl. Mash with a fork.

    Add the soft butter to the Camembert and season the mixture with paprika powder, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds.

    Use a spatula to combine the cheese mixture well. Optionally add more cream, stir until creamy and taste for seasoning.

    Serve by arranging the onion rings on top and sprinkling chopped chives over it. Pretzels and radishes pair nicely.
