Natural Rice, Banana & Coconut Porridge

The porridge made with natural rice, banana and coconut from Spoonsparrow ensures a good start to the day.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 Vanilla pod
  • 500 ml Oat drink (Oat milk)
  • 180 g Natural rice (whole grain)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 30 g fine oat flakes (4 tbsp)
  • 1 pinch Cardamom
  • 2 Bananas
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 4 tbsp Coconut flakes

Instructions

    Cut the vanilla pod lengthwise and add it to a pot with oat drink & 250 ml water. Add rice and salt. Bring everything to a boil while stirring, then simmer covered on low heat for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in the oat flakes and cardamom and continue cooking on low heat for 15 minutes, adding more oat drink if needed. Then remove the pot from the heat and remove the vanilla pod.

    Distribute the porridge into bowls. Peel the bananas, slice them and add them to the porridge with maple syrup and coconut flakes.
