Homemade nachos from Spoonsparrow ✌︎ Snack in Mexican style

Ingredients

  • 200 g corn flour
  • 160 g spelt flour type 1050
  • 10 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt
  • 0.5 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 0.5 tsp hot paprika powder
  • chili powder

Instructions

  1. 1.

Process corn flour, 150 g spelt flour, 2 tbsp olive oil, ½ tsp salt and 200 ml water into a smooth dough and knead for 5 minutes. Add more water if needed.

  2. 2.

Divide the dough into 8 portions. Shape each portion into a ball and roll it out into very thin flat discs on a floured work surface.

  3. 3.

Bake the dough discs in a non‑stick pan over medium heat one at a time. Cut the baked discs into triangles.

  4. 4.

For the sauce mix the remaining oil with 1 tsp salt, paprika powder and chili powder to taste. Brush the nachos with the sauce, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (180 °C fan; gas: level 3) for 6–8 minutes until crisp.
