Mulled Wine with Water

A slightly milder version of the original, yet still tasty: Try the Spoonsparrow recipe for mulled wine with water.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle good red wine
  • 0.25 l water
  • juice of one lemon
  • a few cloves
  • cinnamon stick
  • 1 unpeeled lemon

Instructions

  1. 1.

    Warm the red wine with the water, lemon juice and spices in a pot until just before boiling.

  2. 2.

    Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves before serving.

  3. 3.

    Quickly pour the mulled wine into pre-warmed glasses.

  4. 4.

    Thinly peel the lemon and decorate the glasses with lemon zest.
