Ingredients
- 40 ml brandy
- 2 bottles robust red wine
- 100 g candied sugar
- 80 g rum cherries
- 10 cloves
- 4 star anise pieces
- 2 Cinnamon sticks
- 1 untreated lemon
- 1 apple

Pour brandy with wine into a pot, add sugar, rum cherries and spices.

Slice the lemon into thin wedges, quarter the apple, remove seeds and slice into thin wedges; add both to the red wine in the pot. Warm slowly, never boil, let it steep for a few minutes.
