Ingredients

  • 4 figs
  • 250 ml passata tomatoes (canned)
  • 120 g air-dried beef ham (thin slices)
  • 80 g shredded pizza cheese
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • flour (for working)
  • vegetable oil (for the trays)

Instructions

    For the dough, dissolve yeast, sugar and lard in 200 ml lukewarm water. Mix flour and salt. Knead with the yeast mixture into a smooth, elastic dough and cover to rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.

    Meanwhile preheat the oven to 210°C fan. Oil four small round pizza trays (about 15 cm).

    For the topping wash the figs and cut them into strips. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions, roll each out to match the tray diameter. Place dough on trays, spread passata tomatoes over it. Top with ham slices and sprinkle cheese. Arrange fig strips on top and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the dough edges are golden brown.
