Ingredients
- 800 g kohlrabi
- 1 clove garlic
- 300 ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp crème fraîche
- 2 Eggs
- 150 g grated Gruyère cheese
- Salt
- Pepper (freshly ground)
- nutmeg
- butter (for the ramekins)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 180°C fan-forced. Butter the ramekins.

Peel the kohlrabi and slice thinly or shave into rounds. Layer in the buttered ramekins.

Whisk together the cream, crème fraîche, eggs and half of the cheese. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Pour over the kohlrabi so everything is just covered.

Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes until golden brown.
