Baked Kohlrabi with Basil
Baked kohlrabi with basil from Spoonsparrow is always delicious.
Ingredients
- 800 g kohlrabi (3 pieces)
- 20 g basil (1 bunch)
- Salt
- Pepper
- 5 g rapeseed oil (1 tsp)
- 60 ml vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 30 g Parmesan (1 piece; 30% fat in the product)
Instructions

Peel the kohlrabi and grate into thin slices. Wash the basil, tear off the leaves, and set a few aside for garnish.

Grease an oven dish with oil and layer it with a sheet of kohlrabi. Sprinkle some basil over it, lightly salt and pepper, then add another kohlrabi layer. Continue layering until all kohlrabi is used.

Pour vegetable broth and lemon juice over the layers and cover the dish with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 °C (gas: level 3) for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile grate the parmesan finely.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven, discard the parchment paper, sprinkle the grated parmesan on top of the kohlrabi, and bake for another 15–20 minutes.

Serve the baked kohlrabi garnished with the reserved basil leaves.
