Meatballs Wrapped in Bacon on a Skewer

The meatballs wrapped in bacon on a skewer from Spoonsparrow are always a great idea for the grill buffet!
Ingredients
- 1 old-fashioned whole wheat roll
- 1 Shallot
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 tbsp Rapeseed Oil
- 2 Eggs
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1 tbsp chopped rosemary
- 1 tbsp sharp mustard
- 1 tsp tomato paste
- 600 g minced beef
- Salt
- black pepper (freshly ground)
- 20 slices bacon
Instructions

Soak the roll in lukewarm water. Peel and finely chop the shallot and garlic. Sauté together with 1 tbsp oil, add chopped parsley and rosemary, and let cool slightly. Then mix into the minced beef along with eggs, drained roll, mustard, and tomato paste. If the mixture is too soft, add some whole wheat breadcrumbs. Season well with salt and pepper.

Form small balls, wrap each in bacon, and skewer them. Grill on all sides, turning occasionally, for about 8 minutes.
