Meatball Snack

Everyone loves this: The meatball snack from Spoonsparrow is easy to prepare and guaranteed to be a hit!

Ingredients

  • 1 stale roll
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 600 g mixed ground meat
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp Medium-hot mustard
  • Salt
  • freshly ground pepper
  • breadcrumbs (if needed)
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 7 cm cucumber
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes

Instructions

    Soak the roll in lukewarm water.

  2. 2.

    Peel the garlic, press it into the ground meat and knead with the squeezed-out roll, egg, mustard, salt, and pepper. Add breadcrumbs if desired.

    Shape small balls from the mixture and fry them in a hot pan with oil until golden brown on all sides. Reduce heat and let the balls finish cooking briefly.

    Wash the cucumber; optionally peel it with a zester and slice into 0.7 cm thick rounds. Wash and pat dry the tomatoes.

    Skewer one meatball with a tomato or cucumber slice, arrange on green salad with sprouts, and serve the meatball snack.
