Asian Meatballs

Do you like it a bit spicy? Then the Asian meatballs from Spoonsparrow are just right for you!

Ingredients

  • 8 red chili peppers
  • 2 Spring Onions
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 800 g pork mince
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp liquid honey
  • ground cumin
  • Salt
  • 1 untreated lemon (juice and zest)
  • freshly ground pepper
  • 40 g sesame seeds
  • 4 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions

    Wash the chili peppers, cut one in half, deseed and finely chop. Wash and trim the spring onions, then slice them thinly. Peel and dice the red onion finely. Combine the chopped vegetables with the pork mince in a bowl. Add the egg yolk and mix well. Season with honey, cumin, salt, a splash of lemon juice and pepper. Shape about 16 small meatballs from the mixture, roll them in sesame seeds, and fry them in hot oil for 6–8 minutes until golden brown. After about 4 minutes add the remaining chili peppers and lemon zest to the pan.
