Ingredients

  • 4 matjes fillets
  • 0.25 l milk
  • 2 small onions
  • 1 medium apple
  • 8 potatoes
  • parsley
  • 200 g crème fraîche (1 cup)
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • Salt
  • freshly ground white pepper

Instructions

    Wash, peel, and boil the potatoes in salted water for about 30 minutes. Peel the onions and slice them into rings. Quarter the apple, remove the core, and slice the quarters thinly.

    Whisk the sour cream with crème fraîche until smooth. Season with salt and pepper, then divide onto four plates. Arrange the Matjes fillets on top of the apples and onion rings. Serve the potatoes with chopped parsley added.
