Marsala Apricots

A fresh and fragrant Marsala apricot compote that showcases bright flavors in a simple yet elegant dish.

Ingredients

  • 800 g apricots
  • 250 ml Marsala wine
  • 50 ml Apple Juice
  • 2 organic lemons (zest and juice)
  • lemon slice (for garnish)

Instructions

    Blanch the apricots, peel, halve, and pit them. Wash the lemons thoroughly; grate fine zest from the peel and squeeze out the juice. Place the apricot halves with 2/3 of the wine in a pot, add apple juice, lemon juice, and a cinnamon stick, then bring to a boil.

    Simmer for about 3-5 minutes, set aside, and allow to cool. Add the remaining wine, remove the cinnamon stick, divide into 4-6 glasses, and serve garnished with lemon slices.
