Ingredients

  • 375 g butter
  • 375 g sugar
  • 6 Eggs
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 100 g ground macadamia nuts
  • 50 g chopped macadamia nuts
  • 4 tbsp milk
  • 1 lemon (unprocessed)
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 375 g wheat flour (Type 1050)
  • powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    For the dough, cream the butter. Alternately fold in sugar and eggs. Then stir in salt, nuts, milk, and grated lemon zest. Mix the baking powder with the flour, sift over the mixture, and fold in. Spread the dough evenly onto the baking sheet and bake for 35-45 minutes until golden brown.
